WELCOME TO THE 2023/24 SEASON

Layer Colts successful partnership with the University of Essex enters its eighth year.

The Club's home ground for the majority of teams is the superb facility at the University of Essex which includes: highly maintained pitches, pavilion, cafe and changing rooms.

The home ground for our 9v9 teams is Corporal Budd VC.

HISTORY & ETHOS

Layer Colts Youth Football Club was founded in 2003. We are affiliated to Essex FA & the Colchester & District Football league. We have also had teams playing in the Essex County Girls Football league. We are a friendly, enthusiastic club with a professional, talent-nurturing approach.

We are a 2 Star FA affiliated club with DBS certified, FA qualified coaches who run teams from U7 to U18. We also have a Nippers Academy for 4 to 6 year olds (school years Reception and Yr 1).

Layer Colts ethos is about winning but not at all costs. We endeavour to enable boys and girls to play, personally develop and enjoy football in a safe, quality environment. The Colts are not just about football but also about making new friends.
